Manufacture
Manufacture! Our work is exclusively handcrafted wrought iron and uses the equipment that you can see in the workshop. Let’s say that it is technologically advanced, but it is sufficient for our production completely by hand.
Design: The design of a new job, it involves the transfer of these ideas on a draw with chalk disegno. Usually the real size of a sheet metal.
Forging: Following the design are established developments of the volutes or decorations, to the extent of cutting of the various pieces that compongono.Nella hot forging it follows the drawing, with a continuous comparison of the workpiece and the trace of sheet metal (most practical carton which will burn).
Finish the drawing: Often, in more complex jobs. forgings require fine-tuning of the whole, to improve the accuracy of their location within the mosaic.
Assembly/welding: Fixed all the pieces you switch assembly and welding, we do work with welding elettrodo.Nei classic joints can be covered with clamps or run them with rivets.
Cleaning: The weld is treated in such a way as to ensure robustness, but also the harmony of the piece, since we try to clean as much as possible of the unnecessary waste and unsightly the object. The execute with a small flexible grinding, wire brush or sandpaper.
Painting: Finally, we must protect the metal from the elements, usually using rust as background and as a finishing polish, which always roll it by hand with a brush. For a more natural finish, which leaves as much as possible the view of the iron, there is the burnishing hot and with a layer of wax or of transparent varnishes.
